 Visual Anthropology and Photo Ethnography

Content analysis is a systematic, replicable for systematical writing technique. It compress many words into fewer and understandable content, this allow more objective evaluation than comparing the content based only from the impression of a listener. Content analysis include in the category of quantitative method which result are in numbers and percentages.

The advantages of this method is that you will get more precise information that you needed, also a better understanding of your customer interest and disinterest. It also easier to state out the proof as how the data collected is more reliable.

But this method can be very time consuming and costly too, and because of inexperience of conducting this method will lead to faulty. Because of the difficulties to automate and computerize as the data you analysis is in bunch of words it will also lead you to over analysis.

Unlike how content analysis works, visual anthropology and photo ethnography are more on to visual and experience to acknowledge the data so it is more social and visual data research. Visual anthropology and photo ethnography are used when your want to have a better understanding  target audience culture and lifestyle.

In visual anthropology, it allows you to experience directly to the target audience or other people position, by putting yourself in other people shoes will let you understand their feelings and position, which will make your project works or outcome to become more meaningful and deeper. 

examples: Like how i was conducting on this project ' Silent you Up '. It is actually a project that putting yourself in mute people situation, so you can understand their difficulties and what they have to go through so that you are inspired to create something meaningful and relate-able and base-able project outcome which can help to help or improve human life.

Photo Ethnography is a method where by using photography you can actually record your target audience or other people lifestyle and culture. Depending on your research field you can actually get this reference from newspaper or magazine picture or you can even ask people who are going to that field to take picture for you. Although it is not convince-able by standing alone, you can actually use this as your secondary research to strengthen your research.....

Well matey,.. this is whole lot important data, we can actually conduct this method in other to acquired the data that we need for our graduation project(saving the Ocean). Like what we have founded from previous stop, we are able to know where and how garbage patch we form and also who causes it. and by knowing their lifestyle and culture of using plastic base product is actually helping us alot for the outcome. But there's still more to learn and to research! Let's not wait any longer and see what we will get in our next stop!!...
