Target Audience and Conversation Interview

Ahoy Matey,

Let's wrapped up about the project that i'm doing. In this graduation project, i will create an 2D animation about the ocean with the theme ' Sound of the Ocean'. This project is inspired by the current Ocean issue and how human have unconsciously destroying the Ocean. Many people said that they loved the Ocean and Ocean is part of human life, but the ignorant in human lifestyle create a slow destruction for the Ocean.

My objectives in this project to create awareness about litters in the ocean. Because of the ignorance of human, Ocean, one of human most important source of life have become a littering place unknowingly. The effect, The Great Pacific Garbage Patch has been formed in the Ocean, and it has polluted the Ocean and everything lives under it, which slowly will infect us human.

 This idea is targeted to kids to adults: Age range 5-40+
This Project Target market range from kids to oldster because basically this message is for all of us human. The Ocean problem is everyone's problem. I targeted kids from age 5 is because i wanted to introduce the garbage patch to the kids, so they can learn the cause and effects when they ignorantly throw rubbish. The target audience also range from age 5- 40+ because along the way people grow up, many plastic have been use and throw away ignorantly, so i want to bring conscious to people about what they have been doing to the Ocean right now.


Like what i have said from my previous blog, i will be conducting conversation interview, there's a few main information that i wanted to get the interviewee:

1. Do you like the Ocean?
2. Do you often use plastic based object in your daily life?
3. Do you know where the plastic rubbish go when they were thrown?
4. After understanding what is garbage patch, are you inspired to change your plastic using in your daily life?
5. Will you encourage people to lesser the use of plastic in their daily life?
6. Knowing the Issue in the Ocean, are you feeling that you are partially responsible for the destruction?

(NB: Conversation Interview are not done with asking this question only, but this are mainly the information i want to get from my interviewee)

Why i'm asking this question is because that i want test out whether the objectives and goals reach my target audience.

Until today, i have conducted conversation interview with 10 interviewee including 5 strangers and the information i collected are more than what i expected, people are more responsive towards this topic because the topic itself are relatable in their daily life. The interview itself have made the interviewee reflect on themselves and some of them said that it really inspired them a lot and they are able to feel the emphatic to the Ocean. But some of them say differently!.

So stay tune next week to read the responses from the interviewee!... it will be very exciting to see different perspective from different angle and consumer! XD
