Personas

Ahoy matey!

Welcome on th' poop deck,
From the conversation interview, I have then categorized the interviewee into groups of personas, which will help me understand my target audience more.
In this case, the categorize personas are:
1.     Abby the pirate [Pirates (persona) that love and care about the ocean]
These types of pirate are the best, they are people who care and love the ocean, just like me Oh ho ho! ; they realize how important the Ocean is to the world, without it where do we get our treasures from?  The problem is that most of these pirate don’t know how to help the Ocean. Abby the pirate does not litter into the Ocean, however, she is unaware that the waste in her daily life are being disposed into the landfill and ocean, thus polluting the ocean.
Abby the pirate care about the Ocean and thus wanted to help, but the personas daily activities doesn’t really reflect on their statement yet they are willing to learn and minimize the damage to the Ocean.
Upon learning on how she could play a role in saving the Ocean, Abby feels that her small actions would somewhat make a difference in the world. Abby would actively play her role in influencing her matey (friends) to reduce plastic waste consumption. Also being a vigilant Ocean guardian, reporting to the relevant authorities on any organization that are disposing their waste irresponsibly into the ocean. Oh ho ho, well done abby the pirate, the world needs someone like you!

2.     Bella the pirate (Pirates that love but give little care about the ocean)
These types of pirate are people who love the Ocean for its beauty and their source of their eye pleasure only.  They don’t realize how important the Ocean is. And for them, one person cleaning or minimize the use of plastic won’t help and matters, because many more others will throw more plastic and it is a long-term effect. Bella would not litter into the Ocean because she love the Ocean, however she is so caught up in her daily activities that she finds it more important to focus and care about herself first before caring about anything else.
Bella would still continue on her daily plastic usage because she feels that the effort to change her daily routine, to reduce her plastic consumption is not worth for the small impact it would have.

3.     Doby the pirate (pirates that don’t care about the Ocean)
These type of pirate are the worst, which the world would be better without them Oh ho ho! Doby the pirate don’t care about the Ocean, they shiver me timbers (a pirate expression used to show shock or disbelief). Ocean is the origin of all treasure, like duhh, yet as a pirate they don't care about the treasure, uhhh something is wrong with this pirate right ?
They think that they are not in the fault position because they think the plastic that floating in the Ocean are not theirs. For them, by throwing rubbish on the ship deck (litter bin) is more than enough to help the Ocean and they not care for whatever that happened in the Ocean but it’s not their fault and they will keep moving on.
(PS: I hate this person, going to bo0m them soon * typing in fire * ) JK okay not JK opps.
Well after from all the information collected, the similarity between the pirate  is that with empathy they are willing to change, so during the interview I kind of given this scenario of what if the person or living things that you love the most, died because of the plastic you have been throwing all this time, what will they feel or do? . Their answers are similar, ‘ I will feel guilty, I will stop using plastic, I will hate plastic ‘. So after all, empathy is the missing ingredient (element) to change a bad pirate into a good pirate oh ho ho!

By picking up the keywords from the research, which is ‘empathy’, I will then insert these empathy ingredient on my story to help me to engage my matey (target audience) into my story.

Well, that's all for the adventure today!! see you in the next voyage...

Avast yee...

All hand Ahoy!
