User Testing and Iterative Design

User testing basically means evaluating your product or services by testing it directly to your representative user. While doing this method, the participants will try to launch or use your product while you are observing, watching, listening and taking notes.

The objective of this method is to find out any issue or usability problems with your product or services and also allows you to collect both qualitative and quantitative data about how successful your product or services is.

The benefits of this method is that it gives more realistic insights than lab research only. This also identify changes required to improve performance and satisfaction about your product or services. In another why, it will provide you with efficiency.

User testing are more or like similar to Iterative design, but iterative design did the user testing process keeps going on during the production. Your product will be tested and evaluated repeatedly at different stages to avoid any flaws before the final product are launched.

This method is important because it reduce usability issues and ensure a good performance of your final product. This method can basically be used in any phase of your production process, so during your process you will keep testing, asking your user or target audience and keep receiving feedbacks until the final moment.

The advantages of this method is that you will only filter out the best for your product but this method is not suitable for smaller projects, because it is harder to break the process into smaller segment. This method also receive constant danger of being caught in the cycle of the production process, but what you will get from this method are worth it. 

So both method are usable and gives you a better outcome, but you also need to be careful and thoughtful of the decisions you have made in your project so that it wont be wasting time and fruitful to your project.
