Method Planning
From all the method collected, the best solution for my graduation project is to conduct severals methods throughout my project. It need not to be conducting 100% of all method, but i can conduct bits of each of it.
What i have been doing until today unconsciously are formative research, formative research included every research that i conducted before the final production. It is the most important method stage for me to make sure all my production assets are there and ready to launch. From my concept and ideas, i have decided to create a short animation project about 'Sound of the Ocean'. This project objective is to create awareness and bring conscious to human being about the issues that happened to the Ocean today and allow them to reflect on themselves. Of course i can conduct Summative research to see whether my project reach the target audience or not, but that one will be after i have the product final outcome. For now i will be explaining about how certain method are able to help me in order to reach my goal.
'Sound of the Ocean' is an animation that targeted plastic base resource user as primary target audience. So that by conducting personas research method i am able to know the market needs everyday, like example by knowing how the target audience keep using the plastic bags in their daily life, i am able to show them what is the consequences that they have done to the Ocean in my short animation. Also by conducting persona research, it might be helping me to know my target audience lifestyle, like the reason they using plastic bags instead of other materials bags. And it also help me to identify the target audience needs and wants, so that i am able to find a solution or create a solution with something that similar to what they needs and wants but even better.
I also need to conduct competitor analysis to see whether is there any other people that doing something similar to mine, and are they successful in doing it and if not, what is missing there? so that i can improve my ideas and concept. From the last two blogs i have also update some Visual anthropology and Picture Ethnography, from the visual picture, it allows me for a better understanding of what happening in the Ocean now, and photo ethnography also help me understand how massive and ignorant some people towards the plastic materials and how their lifestyle.
Mostly the research method i will be doing is etic research method, because i am unable to be experience first hand on direct science researching on the Ocean and costly too and i don't know how to, i will be using the data that collected by the scientist or researcher form reliable site, so that i can help me understand more about the consequence, so that i can transform them into understandable emotion for human. My animation is reliable a lot of this kind of information because what i'm trying to achieve is to deliver the Emotion of the Ocean or empathy. Because from what i research, it is very hard to make human understand unless they are able to feel empathy towards the issue itself.
So that will sums up about which method that i think will be useful to me in this project.

Well Matey!... That's my ideas!.. But there are more methods are coming, we can always change if there's some more useful and flexible method out there. So let's go and see what's more out there!...
